Legendary actress Sridevi doesn't need an introduction. The 'Hawa Hawai' girl ruled hearts of millions for decades. Sridevi was a rare talent and was entitled as the first female superstar of the Indian cinema with back-to-back blockbuster films. The actress born on August 13, 1963, was the highest paid actress of her time.

Stepping ahead into the film industry, Sridevi worked as a child artist in Julie in 1975 at the age of 4 and made her debut in Bollywood with Solva Saavan in 1979. Apart from her strong hold in Bollywood, the actress was a notable figure in South film industry.

Sridevi had portrayed different characters in varying genres. Movies in the Bollywood industry that marks her notable performance include Himmatwala, Tohfa, Nagina, ChaalBaaz, Chandni, Khuda Gawah, Laadla, Judaai and Mr India among others.

It was heartbreaking for the Divas' fans as she turned away from the glamour industry for few years. But soon she made her comeback with a bang in 2012 with comedy-drama English Vinglish and her character in thriller movie Mom in 2017, which marked her 300th movie, filled chills in the spines.

The actress was conferred with several awards in her lifetime including Padma Shri which is the fourth highest civilian award.

She left for a heavenly abode on February 24, 2018. Sridevi's body was found at a hotel room in Dubai. Yet, the reason of her death is still a mystery. Untimely demise of the veteran actress was shocking for the entire film fraternity and her fans and of course her near and dear ones.

On the 56th birthday of late Sridevi, several social media platforms got flooded with posts remembering the legendary actress. Not staying behind, her family members including husband Boney Kapoor, daughter Janhvi Kapoor and brother-in-law and co-actor Anil Kapoor penned down beautiful posts and shared on their handles.

On the occasion of Sridevi's 56th birth anniversary, elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who also has stepped into the shoes of her mother and has already made her debut in the glamour industry, remembered her mother sharing a throwback picture of Sridevi with an emotional post.

She captioned the post "Happy birthday Mumma, I love you."

It is not hidden to anyone that Janhvi Kapoor idolizes her mother. The 'Dhadak' girl also visited the Shri Venkateshwara temple on the special occasion and the picture shared by her bring tears in all eyes.

Janhvi was dressed in a neon yellow half-saree which rekindles the nostalgia of Sridevi of yore.

Both the posts from Janhvi received huge applauds and wishes from industry and outside.

Janhvi, who is currently busy shooting for Roohi Afza and Kargil Girl, returned back to Mumbai later in the day. Apart from both of these movies, ace film maker Karan Johar announced a sequel to Dostana which will feature Janhvi, Kartik Aaryan and a yet to be announced debutante.

We wish, the charming 'Dhadak' girl Janhvi Kapoor will reach heights without leaving a stone unturned to keep shining her mother's name.
