Rashmika Mandanna will make her debut in the Tamil film industry with Sulthan which stars Karthi in the lead. Earlier the movie was supposed to release on April 2nd, 2021. But now makers are planning to postpone its release because the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu will be around the corners.

The polls are scheduled to take place on April 6 which can affect the box-office collection of Sulthan as a majority of people will be busy checking out the latest update on assembly elections. Dream Warrior Pictures which is bankrolling the movie is not in favor of releasing the Rashmika Mandanna and Karthi starrer just a couple of days ahead of the polls.

Rashmika Mandanna and Karthi's Sulthan to Get New Release Date

According to reports, now the makers, as well as Karthi, are planning to come up with a new release date for Sulthan. The decision to postpone this Tamil debut movie of Rashmika Mandanna is being taken to make sure that it collects the expected moolah at the box-office.

However, this decision might work in favor of a few movies releasing around the same time. Gopichand-led Seetimaarr and Nagarjuna's Wild Dog are also releasing on 2nd April 2021.

If Sulthan's release is postponed it will definitely benefit these two flicks. Apart from Sulthan Rashmika Mandanna also has Pushpa with Allu Arjun scheduled for release on 13th August this year.
