Sangati Jogwar

Rashmika Mandanna and Karthi's Sulthan is all set for release on April 2 tomorrow. While it is the first Tamil movie for Rashoo, Karthi has enjoyed success in both Tollywood as well as in Tamil movies. The actor made a lasting impression on the minds of the audience with a stellar performance in Khaidi that released in 2019.

Despite being a non-commercial genre film, the movie went on to become a big hit. Since Sulthan is a pakka masala commercial movie, makers are confident that it will also turn out to be successful at the box-office. However, the current situation looks a bit discouraging.

Pre-release Deals Assure Success for Rashmika Mandanna and Karthi's Sulthan

For both Rashmika and Karthi it will be the first release after a long gap and hence it is important that Sulthan does well at the box-office. The pre-release business deals have already been finalized which guarantees that the movie will recover a good amount of its investment. The movie has been sold for Rs. 2 crores in the Nizam area, for Rs.1 core in the Ceeded region, and Rs.3 crores in Andhra Pradesh.

Sulthan now needs Rs.6.5 crores to be declared successful. While the pre-release deals have already covered almost half the cost, Sulthan will have to cover the rest of the investment from theaters. Since Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab which has already created quite a hype is releasing on 9th April, Rashmika Mandanna and Karthi's movie will have to rely mostly on the first week to recover as much moolah as possible.

Considering the fact that in many cities theaters are yet to open to their full capacity, Sulthan may not be able to reach the desired target. On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saabh seems to be a sure shot winner as its trailer has received an overwhelming response and the tickets have already been sold in many cities.
