Sangati Jogwar

Ranveer Singh wrapped up shooting for his movie “83” some time ago. The film is based on the life of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev for which the actor had made a lot of changes in his hairstyle, getup, and mannerisms. Next, he will be seen in “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” for which he has already started shooting. Recently he took to twitter to share his first look from this movie in which Ranveer will be playing a Gujarati simpleton.

While spilling beans on the storyline of the movie, the “Padmavaat” actor said that the movie revolves around a simple Gujarati man Jayeshbhai who is an unlikely hero. According to Ranveer, “Jayeshbhai is an ordinary man, who ends up doing something extraordinary when he’s hurled into a threatening situation. He is sensitive and compassionate, and believes in equal rights between men and women in a society that is deeply rooted in patriarchal ideals and practices.”

For Ranveer ‘Jayesbhai’ Posed An Exciting Challenge

Ranveer Singh said that playing the role of Jayeshbhai seemed like an exciting challenge for him as he had to deconstruct himself and transform into a person he has never been. The story is written by a debutant writer as well as director Divyang Thakkar who has come out with a miracle script with a Gujarati background.

Ranveer Singh is very happy with Divyang and said, “Divyang has poured his soul into this brilliant piece of writing that will nudge you to introspect whilst making you smile and laugh the entire time.” Maneesh Sharma who is introducing Divyang as the director appreciated the “Gully Boy” actor by saying that Ranveer is fearless when it comes to inhabiting any role. Maneesh further added that Ranveer puts complete faith in the vision of the director and has the self-confidence to go against his image which makes the actor a delight for a filmmaker.
