Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt fell in love during the shooting of their upcoming movie “Brahmastra” directed by Ayan Mukherjee. Since the time they have made their relationship official, rumours and speculations about their marriage have been making rounds. By the end of last year, strong rumours about the couple getting married by the end of 2020 went adrift and everyone was just waiting for the two to announce the date. According to insider sources, even the Kapoor family had started planning for the wedding.

However, now the news is that Ranbir and Alia are not getting married anytime soon. Rather recent news suggests that the stars are avoiding meeting each other even if they are sharing the same studio or location for shooting. While this may be just a rumour, there is a truth in the fact that both Ranbir and Alia have dropped their plans to get married this year.

Brahmastra Release & Rishi Kapoor’s Health

Earlier Ranbir and Alia Bhatt planned to tie the knot in December 2020. Their movie “Brahmastra” was supposed to release sometime during summer this year. But due to certain reasons, the release has now been postponed to December 4, 2020. If the couple gets married in the same month the buzz will be more around their marriage rather than the film which may affect its box-office collection. Both Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt cannot afford that because “Brahmastra” is a trilogy and its success will decide whether its two sequels will come or not.

Also, Ranbir had no release in 2019 post his blockbuster movie “Sanju” that hit the theatres in 2018. That also makes the success of “Brahmastra” very important for Ranbir. Apart from that, the sudden serious issues of Rishi Kapoor’s health are also looming on Kapoor Khandan and now they want to focus more on Chintuji’s health than the marriage.

So, much to the disappointment of the fans, Alia and Ranbir have decided to postpone their wedding and are instead focusing on their careers and health of Rishi Kapoor.
