Learning by Observation

The Animal star shared insights from his early career, including his time as an assistant director on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2005 film Black. Observing veterans like Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji, Ranbir explained how he studied performances to understand different approaches without imitating anyone directly.

“When you work professionally, every film is unique and there’s no single method,” Ranbir said.

He emphasised that actors must remain flexible to align with a director’s vision.

“Filmmaking is a director’s medium. As actors, it’s our responsibility to fulfill that vision while giving our best performance,” the Sanju actor said.

A Vision for Acting Education

Ranbir highlighted the energy and dreams of young aspirants at film institutes.

"Film institutes are always the best place to be around because you see people with so many dreams, talent bursting with so much infectious energy. My dream is that at some point I can become an acting coach, give acting tips, and share my experiences,” he said.
