#Ramayana Trends As Twitter Celebrates Birth Anniversary of Maharshi Valmiki With Meaningful Posts

Today is the birth anniversary of Maharshi Valmiki-the sage who penned the ancient epic Ramayana in Sanskrit. From discussing the character of Lord Rama to remembering Valmiki’s visionary powers, Twitter users shared various meaningful posts to mark the anniversary.

Even leading Indian ministers and politicians contributed to this Ramayana trend. The vice-president of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu wrote, “My humble tributes to the Adi Kavi Maharishi #Valmiki on his Jayanti today. He composed the great epic Ramayana and enlightened us about the divine life journey of #LordRama. The poet-saint’s philosophical teachings are eternally relevant. #valmikijayanti.”

The Minister of Law and Justice in India, Ravi Shankar Prasad also remembered Valmiki on his birth anniversary.

Twitter Users Salute Valmiki For Making an Impact on Hindu Culture with Ramayana

Ramayana undoubtedly has made a huge impact on the Hindu culture in India. Twitter users saluted Maharshi Valmiki for his contribution. A user said, “Revere the impact of Ramayana on the Hindu way of life… Salutations & Gratitude to the original Epic Writer. #valmikijayanti.”

Another user gave details about Lord Rama’s lineage. He wrote, “Shri Ram was 64th great Ruler of Ikshwaku dynasty of Ayodhya and Maharshi Valmiki was his contemporary. Adi Kavi Valmiki begins the writing of Ramayana after the ascension of King Ram. He described the life history of Shri Ram in about 24000 Sanskrit shlokas. #महर्षि_वाल्मीकि_जयंती.”

Another Twitter user revealed what Maharshi Valmik did after he completed writing Ramayana. He wrote, “After writing the Ramayana, Maharishi Valmiki went south and spent some time at this place. #महर्षि_वाल्मीकि_जयंती.”

The ancient epic written by Maharshi Valmiki is still relevant and revered in India. The character of Rama and the entire epic continues to inspire Indians across the globe. That is one reason why Om Raut, the director of blockbuster Tanhaji is now coming up with a movie based on Lord  Rama titled Adipurush. Prabhas will be playing the lead role of Rama whereas Saif Ali Khan will portray Ravana.
