Rakesh Roshan dismisses Rajat Bedi’s casting rumours in Krrish 4

The Krrish franchise remains one of Hindi cinema’s most beloved superhero sagas, cutting across generations with its epic storyline, powerful performances and visionary direction. After the original film’s massive success in 2006, Krrish 3 further strengthened the franchise by grossing over Rs 350 crore worldwide, emerging as one of the biggest hits of 2013.

In October 2025, social media was abuzz with rumours suggesting that actor Rajat Bedi had been roped in to play the villain in Krrish 4. However, the speculation lacked any official confirmation from the film’s makers.

Rakesh Roshan Clears the Air

Putting an end to the rumours, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan categorically denied the reports. When contacted, he said, “The news of Rajat Bedi acting in Krrish 4 is all false. There is no truth to any rumours.”

Rajat Bedi, who made his acting comeback with The Ba*ds of Bollywood in 2025, is currently in discussions with several major studios for projects slated for 2026. The actor also shares a long-standing professional association with the Roshan family, having played a grey character in Rakesh Roshan’s Koi… Mil Gaya in 2003.

What We Know About Krrish 4

The fourth instalment of the franchise is officially in development and will mark Hrithik Roshan’s directorial debut. Previously, all films in the series were directed by Rakesh Roshan.

In March 2025, Rakesh Roshan announced the development on Instagram, expressing pride as Hrithik stepped into a new role behind the camera. Currently in pre-production, Krrish 4 is expected to go on floors in early 2026.

While casting rumours continue to surface, the makers remain tight-lipped, with the focus firmly on shaping the next chapter of India’s most ambitious superhero franchise.
