After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s explosive interview, it is Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra’s turn to take the hot seat at Oprah Winfrey’s popular talk show Super Soul. During her bare-it-all conversation with Oprah, PeeCee spoke at lengths about her family, her teenage years, facing harassment in the entertainment industry, and why her relationship with Nick Jonas feels so special. The interview dropped on March 20 in Discovery+.

While speaking about the high and lows of her life, Priyanka made many revelations, some that left the viewers heartbroken and others that left her fans feeling proud of the global icon. PC was seen talking about her teenage years, she opened up about being a victim of racism and bullying. She said the bullying was at such lengths that it “broke her spirit”.

When Oprah asked the actor about the incident where she was asked by a director to perform a strip dance for him, Chopra shared that she still regrets not calling out the director for his mistreatment towards her. She also explained why she remained silent, she said, “I was so scared. I was new in the entertainment business and girls are always told that 'you don't want to get a reputation of being hard to work with.' So I worked within the system.”

Talking about the love of her life, Priyanka said that she truly believes that after a series of bad relationships, it was because of her mom’s belief that she got a man like Nick, and their marriage is very much like her parents which grows together.

“Nothing surprised me more than him. He's such a self-assured man. So sensible. So excited about my achievements. My dreams.” She also confessed that she initially didn’t pay any head to Nick’s text messages because she assumed they wanted different things in life because of their age gap. She wanted to marry and she didn’t think Nick was looking for anything serious.

One of the most heartbreaking moments of the interview was when Priyanka Chopra opened up about her father’s demise. She shared that she started to question her belief in God. She revealed, “I think around the death of my dad, [my faith] was tested… I flew my dad to Singapore, New York, Europe, India, everywhere just to do whatever I could to prolong his life. It's such a helpless feeling.” She further added saying, “I was very angry, my relationship with God changed a little bit… but then at the same time, I feel like God helped me find salvation and come out of it too."
