Priyanka Chopra Trolled For Wearing Saree Without Blouse, Designer Defends

Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas was recently targeted by many on Twitter for wearing a saree without blouse, the picture of which was published by a magazine as its cover page. Later, the designer of saree, Tarun Tahiliani jumped to the actress' defense and said that there is no vulgarity in it.

"There's nothing vulgar about it. In fact, not using a choli makes it a global statement," Tahiliani said to Mid-day.

Priyanka, who was given the ‘desi’ epithet after her song “Desi girl” from the movie “Dostana”, recreated the same look by dressing in a golden saree by Tahiliani. Priyanka flaunted her bare back while doing a photo shoot for American magazine InStyle’s July 2019 issue.

The “Quantico” actress on Wednesday took to social media and uploaded several photographs, showcasing her ‘desi’ look in different types of sarees following which some Twitter users poured critical comments on her pictures.
