According to reports Prashanth Neel was earlier planning a Dasara release for Salaar. But now that RRR will be releasing at the same time, he has decided to drop the idea.

Importantly, Maidaan of Ajay Devgn will also release on Dasara. That is one reason the makers do not want Salaar to release during Dasara as they are eying a pan India release for this Prabhas flick. The latest reports indicate that Salaar may be released at the year-end or during Makar Sankranthi 2022, almost the same time when Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata is going to be released.
NTR will start shooting for his next with Trivikram after he completes shooting for RRR. Reports are that NTR30 will also be released around Makar Sankranthi next year making the clash between Prabhas, NTR, and Mahesh Babu inevitable.

Superstar Chiranjeevi's Vedhlam remake helmed by Meher Ramesh is also expected to hit the screens on 15 January next year. So next year's Makar Sankranthi will see one of the biggest stars from Telugu cinema battle out at the box-office and who knows it may create a history.
