Tollywood Rebel Star Prabhas continues to remain one of India’s busiest actors, juggling multiple ambitious projects across genres. Following his monumental success in Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD, the superstar currently has several high-profile films in his lineup including The Raja Saab, Fauji, Spirit, Salaar: Part Two, and the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD.

Amid the building excitement for Fauji, latest reports suggest that a prequel to the period drama may also be in development. While sequels are common in big-budget franchises, the idea of a prequel adds a refreshing twist to the cinematic universe Hanu Raghavapudi is creating.

Shooting Update and Release Plans

According to reports, nearly 40% of Fauji’s shoot remains, and the makers are aiming for an August 2026 release. The film stars social media sensation Imanvi as the female lead, while veteran Bollywood icon Mithun Chakraborty plays a pivotal role.

The big-ticket entertainer is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, known for backing some of Telugu cinema’s grandest ventures.
