Hyderabad/Bhubaneswar: Tickets prices often increased by exhibitors whenever a big project is set hit the theaters. But recently, through an RTI filed by Dr Ch Divakar Babu, it was revealed that ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ audience were cheated.

According to a report of Tollywood.Net, the producers and exhibitors (multiplexes) Baahubali 2, the SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus which has registered some invincible records at the box office, cheated the public to the tune of Rs 100 crore by charging Rs 50 extra on each ticket - multiplexes charged the extra amount per ticket without any prior approval from the government.

Babu wrote a letter to the chief secretary on June 21, 2017 seeking information whether the government had given permission to the exhibitors to charge Rs 50 extra on Rs 150 ticket. Later, he appealed to the State Information Commissioner and finally on April 18, 2018, it was revealed that the government had not issued any order regarding the increase of rates, Tollywood.Net reported.

Meanwhile, Baahubali Prabhas is currently busy shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Sahoo’. The movie is expected to hit the theaters late this year or early next year.

Besides, Prabhas has reportedly signed a movie with director Radha Krishna in which Pooja Hegde will be seen as the female lead. She will sharing the screen space with the Baahubali which is likely to be a romantic entertainer.
