Om Raut directed Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan's magnum opus Adipurush went on the floors today. The announcement was made by the director as well as by the Baahubali star on their social media accounts. As is known Adipurush is a story based on Ramayana in which the Rebel star will be playing the role of Lord Rama whereas Saif will portray Ravana.

Om Raut To Create Adipurush Universe for the Prabhas Movie-First Time in India
While Prabhas is known for pulling off larger than life roles and smashing action scenes with natural ease, Om Raut also has a love for action drama, use of cutting-edge technology to ensure that the story's projection is justified and delivered without any compromise.
Since Ramayana is an epic and the war between Ravana and Ram is a legend the director has decided to create the Adipurush universe which will be a first-of-its-kind attempt in Indian cinema.

Apart from Adipurush which will release on August 11 next year, Prabhas is working on multiple projects currently including Prashanth Neel's Salaar, Radhe Shyam with Pooja Hegde, and Nag Ashwin's project with Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.
