Prabhas and Anushka Shetty were already big stars before Baahubali happened. The two movies from this franchise changed everything for Indian cinema as far as the global platform is concerned. None the less, it also set new benchmarks for Indian movies which will be very difficult for the upcoming movies to meet. Baahubali also made Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati internationally famous.
Their epic reunion along with director SS Rajamouli at London’s Royal Albert Hall was an occasion for the audiences to see all these four iconic people together on one stage. While talking to Eastern Eye, both Prabhas and Anushka spilled beans on their plans, projects and the way they choose their movies. The stars also talked about their upcoming movies.
Prabhas And Anushka Overwhelmed
Anushka had an overwhelming feeling when she entered the Albert Hall in London. According to the “Arundhati” actress, it was a magical experience and she was dazed by it for some time. She believes that it is the vision of Rajamouli and the belief of Shobu Yarlagadda as well as the hard work of the entire team that has helped the South Indian cinema grow globally and weave the magic.
On the work front, Anushka is well aware that the Baahubali movies were something else and they do not happen always. So currently she is choosing her next ventures based on good stories and content. She is picking up stories that she likes but without competing with Baahubali in any way.
Prabhas also consented with Anushka’s thinking and said that he is taking his time and being selective. Already the Telugu audiences are aware that he is capable of doing different roles including melodramas and love stories and in the future too Prabhas would like to continue with them. The “Saaho” actor is currently looking for a variety whereas Anushka is now focusing on her upcoming project Nishabdham.
She has not yet signed any other movie. The same is the case with Prabhas who is currently doing a love story with Pooja Hegde but has not signed any other movie. Prabhas and Anushka Shetty think that it is always better to focus on one project at a time.
