Bollywood’s beloved entertainers Salman Khan and Govinda last shared the screen in the 2007 blockbuster Partner. The duo tickled the funny bones of the audience and the movie still remains a classic. Now, Govinda and Salman are all set to reunite - but this time, not for comedy. According to recent reports, Govinda has joined the cast of Battle of Galwan, a war drama headlined by Salman Khan. The two will reportedly showcase intense and powerful avatars in this high-octane film.

Salman’s Statement on Bigg Boss Sparks Buzz
The excitement began when Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, appeared as a guest on Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar. During the episode, Salman and Sunita discussed his reunion with Govinda, fueling speculation among fans. Although Salman refrained from dropping the project’s name, it didn’t take long for insiders to link the hints to Battle of Galwan.
“Govinda Has Started Shooting!"
As per a social media handle Inside Box Office, Govinda has already started filming his portions for Battle of Galwan.
“Govinda has started shooting for Battle of Galwan,” claimed the viral post, further strengthening the buzz around the actor’s comeback in a serious role.
Notably, Govinda was spotted sporting a new moustache look, which sparked speculations. Now, sources suggest he adopted for his role in the movie. Salman, too, subtly hinted at Govinda’s involvement, and reports confirm that the veteran actor has already wrapped up several key scenes.
More About Battle of Galwan
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China - a historic standoff fought at over 15,000 feet altitude without a single bullet being fired. The movie also features Chitrangda Singh in a pivotal role.
A Friendship Forged in Bollywood
Salman and Govinda share a deep-rooted bond that goes back to the early 2000s. Govinda has often said that Salman was instrumental in reviving his career during a slump with Partner. In turn, Salman has always admired Govinda’s impeccable comic timing and dance prowess.
