Paresh Rawal’s exit from Hera Pheri 3: Priyadarshan says, 'No rift with Akshay Kumar', reveals real reason

The announcement of Hera Pheri 3 promised the long-awaited return of Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty- the trio that defined comedy for an entire generation. But the excitement dimmed earlier this year when Rawal revealed he would not be part of the project. His sudden decision sparked disappointment among fans and triggered a wave of speculation. Thankfully, the turbulence was short-lived, and the veteran actor is now confirmed to be back with the team.

Priyadarshan Clears the Air

While fans wondered if a fallout had caused Rawal’s exit, filmmaker Priyadarshan set the record straight in a conversation with Pinkvilla. The director denied any friction between Rawal and Akshay Kumar, instead pointing to external meddling. 

“Paresh and I never had an issue. To the best of my knowledge, even Akshay and Paresh never had any problems. There were other forces, bad forces, who were pressurising Paresh. He is someone who worries about his health, but that has never affected our relationship,” he explained.

Akshay’s Calm Response to the Chaos

Priyadarshan also recalled Akshay Kumar’s reaction to the situation, highlighting his composed approach. “Akshay told me, ‘Prince sir, if it happens, let it happen. Otherwise, let’s forget it.’ There were other bad forces creating unnecessary issues, but it’s not worth discussing them. Filmmaking is like this- you have friends, enemies, fans, critics. I still don’t know how I’ve survived 40 years in the industry,” the director shared.

With Rawal back in the cast, excitement for the film has been rekindled. The actor has already dropped a positive hint about the shoot, but Priyadarshan has kept expectations grounded.
