Sangati Jogwar

“Panipat” lead star Arjun Kapoor had high hopes from this movie. Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar who has given major hits like Lagaan, and Jodha Akbar, Panipat does not seem to be in the condition to recover invested money. According to reports, the film has its storyline revolving around the Third Battle of Panipat with Sanjay Dutt playing the main antagonist Ahmad Shah Abdali. The movie continued to lose its hold over the box-office with the collection declining even before a week from its release.

Moreover, controversy related to certain facts of Jat ruler Maharaja Surajmal mentioned in the movie has drawn flak from people in Rajasthan and Haryana. The protests have to lead to a complete decline of the movie in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, East Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. In short, this magnum opus from Gowarikar has failed to entice the cine-goers to the theatres.

Question Mark On Arjun’s Career?

The son of Boney Kapoor has been struggling to get a major hit in the past few years and hence all his expectations were focused on Panipat. But now that this movie has also tanked, Arjun Kapoor is planning to try out new modes of earnings and investment. Rumours also suggest that he may quit acting as the “Ki & Ka” actor hardly has any big projects in his kitty.

According to reports, Arjun is now planning to turn his attention to other mediums. Recently he turned entrepreneur after investing in one of the emerging startups related to food delivery. This particular startup aims to bring a positive change in perspective towards gender uniformity in society. The startup will get in touch with some outstanding women cooks who stay at home and help them use their cooking skills to become entrepreneurs through this startup platform.

In his statement, the “Gunday” actor said, "Our startup is aiming to bring about a positive social change towards gender parity in our society. It is a venture that is extremely close to my heart and I have been doing my best to raise awareness about this platform for the past couple of months."

The actor still has two movies under production and most probably he may take a call whether to continue or quit acting based on the success of these projects.
