Orry under fire for sarcastic swipe at Sara Ali Khan after Instagram unfollow

What once appeared to be a friendly bond between Sara Ali Khan and social media personality Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, seems to have taken an unpleasant turn. 

Orry recently sparked online outrage after taking a pointed swipe at the Bollywood actress in an Instagram reel, shortly after Sara unfollowed him on social media. 

The incident has triggered widespread criticism, with many netizens calling his behaviour ‘pathetic’ and attention-seeking.

The Comment That Set Off the Storm

The controversy began when Orry shared a reel remixing another creator Amulya Rattan’s video, which humorously called out a man’s lack of civic sense. 

While the original clip was light-hearted, Orry’s response drew attention for an entirely different reason. Wearing a blue mesh top with a dotted outline of a bra, Orry replied to a user’s comment asking what the ‘bra’ was holding together by saying, ‘Sara Ali Khan’s hits’.

The remark was widely interpreted as a sarcastic dig at Sara’s box-office track record and quickly spread across social media platforms.

Internet Reacts Strongly

Online reactions were swift and largely critical. Reddit users and fans condemned Orry’s comment, calling it mean-spirited and unnecessary. 

One user wrote, “Imagine a grown-up person behaving like this,” while another accused him of chasing clout by dragging Sara into controversy. Several users urged others to stop giving him attention, labelling the act as bullying rather than humour.

What Led to the Fallout?

Speculation about a rift between Sara and Orry had already been brewing. Rumours intensified after Orry previously shared a reel titled “3 worst names,” where he listed Sara, Amrita and Palak without surnames. Soon after, Sara Ali Khan and her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan unfollowed him on Instagram, signalling a clear distancing.
