Bhubaneswar: Odia short film ‘Sanjog’ has been selected for screening at “GLOBAL CITIZEN Smartphone Short Film Festival” to be held in Greater Chicago, United States on September 20.

Directed by Ashutosh Pattnaik, Sanjog is one among the 30 short films which have been selected for the public screening at the prestigious film festival. A total of 526 applications were received from all around the world for the screening, said reports.

The short film which is based on Autism, tries to send a message to society that there is no difference between specially-abled and normal human beings. The film showcases how a man inspires his autistic daughter to make her capable and stand as an example for others.

“Sanjog has a total duration of 2.15 minutes and film of the story is based on general aspects pertaining with disability. It specifically shows bonding within a father and his autistic daughter and how he teaches her to deal with issues of life,” said Ashutosh.

Suresh Mishra and Sudhashri are playing the lead characters in the short film while the music score has been given by Parag Kumar Behera.
