It is well known that Nayanthara is a mainstream heroine who has reinvented herself in recent years with author-backed roles. Today, she is known as a lady superstar by her fans and audiences alike. 1. Born as Diana Mariam Kurian
The real name of Nayanthara is Diana Mariam Kurian, but she chose Nayanthara as her screen name before she became an actress in Sathyan Anthikad's Malayalam film, Manassinakkare. As per reports, she converted to Hinduism at the Aarya Samaj temple in Chennai in 2011.

2. Nayanthara wanted to become a Chartered Accountant

Nayanthara studied English literature at Marthoma College and she wanted to be a chartered accountant. However, life had other plans when she took up part-time modelling and eventually fell in love with cinema.

3. Turned down an offer opposite Shah Rukh Khan
In Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express, Nayanthara was reportedly offered a dance number which she declined. She is also very conscious about not doing raunchy numbers in her films.

4. Nayanthara is not present on any social media platforms
Nayanthara does not use social media, and she is not present on any of the popular platforms. In a previous interview, she said she values her privacy and avoids exposing it to the outside world.

5. Highest-paid south Indian actress
Industry insiders claim Nayanthara is used to drawing a whopping Rs 10 crore per project, making her one of the highest-paid south Indian actresses. She even charges more if the project stars a particularly famous actor.

Her upcoming project includes the most awaited film ‘Jawan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi. The film is scheduled to release on 2nd June 2023. She also has AK 62 which is directed by her husband Vignesh Shivan. Apart from this Nayanthara will be seen in a Tamil drama movie ‘Iraivan’, directed by Ahmed.
