Netflix premiered Torbaaz starring Sanjay Dutt, Rahul Dev, and Nargis Fakhri on Friday and the netizens reviews are now out! The action thriller which was earlier scheduled for a theatrical release settled for an OTT release owing to the pandemic.
Set in an Afghanistan refugee camp, the story revolves around an ex-army doctor who seeks to bring war-affected Afghan children joy through cricket -- and soon realizes that the stakes go beyond the sport. It aims to be a story of hope when the chips are down.
Now, the netizens were quick to share their review of the film. Apart from a few negative reactions, the movie has mostly received positive reviews from the netizens.
Many viewers appreciated the realistic portrayal of the life of the people staying in Afghanistan. Some fans were also delighted to see Nargis Fakhri on the silver screen after a long time while others loved Rahul Dev as the villain in the movie.
However, according to some Sanjay Dutt’s magic failed to mesmerize the audience this time. This is Sanju Baba’s second OTT release after Sadak 2 which tanked commercially and critically.

Watched #Torbaaz yesterday, and I must say it was an amazing film.
Showed the importance of brotherhood in Afghanistan and the struggles of every Afghan child in refugee camps. The ending did make my whole family cry, but it was worth it.

Not always do noble intentions translate into a good film.
Imagine, #Lagaan meets #ChakDeIndia, against the backdrop of terrorism? Can this formula go wrong? YES IT CAN. To know how, watch #Torbaaz.

#RahulDev looks intense in this still from his upcoming movie Torbaaz where he will be playing the main antagonist to @duttsanjay. The movie seems like a recipe for success and Rahul looks every bit the part of a Talibani leader.
