For weeks, headlines have revolved around Mrunal Thakur - not only for her upcoming film with Siddhant Chaturvedi but also for persistent rumours linking her to Dhanush. Speculation claimed the two would tie the knot on Valentine’s Day (February 14), sparking months of chatter about a supposed romance.
The date has passed, the rumours have faded, and Mrunal remains single. Now, the actor has responded - not with frustration, but humour.

Marriage Pressure? “They say settle ho jao”
In a recent conversation, Mrunal addressed her marriage plans and the whirlwind of speculation surrounding her personal life. In her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein, she portrays an urban woman navigating the arranged marriage route.
When asked whether her own family nudges her about settling down, she smiled and admitted, “They say settle ho jao (get settled in life).”
Yet, home remains her safe haven. Her family understands the demanding rhythm of her career - balancing projects across South cinema and Hindi films. The pace leaves little room for a conventional personal life. Even her married friends with children confess they cannot imagine her schedule, just as she finds their routines equally unimaginable.
For Mrunal, acting is immersive and intense - almost spiritual. The profession demands monk-like discipline, sacrifice, and singular focus. Long hours, restless schedules, and emotional investment define her everyday life.
Laughing Off the Dhanush Wedding Speculation
When the conversation turned to social media’s certainty about her “secret wedding,” Mrunal burst into laughter. “Woh to shaadi ho rahi hai (The wedding is taking place) according to them,” she joked.
Rather than irritation, she responded with perspective. Speaking about the invasion of her privacy and the need to hire a PR team after her home address became public, she revealed, “Up until now, I didn’t have a PR team. I had to hire a team to sort things out because my home address was out in public. To protect myself, I had to hire a team. But, I have realised that even if I spend ₹3 crore, ₹6 crore, ₹10 crore, itni publicity mujhe kabhi nahi milegi (I would never get such publicity). So, a big thank you to everybody who has been spreading fake rumours.”

Choosing Transparency Over Noise
Instead of fuelling gossip, Mrunal chooses clarity. If something meaningful unfolds in her life, she would prefer to share it herself rather than let rumours spiral unchecked. The speculation doesn’t anger her - it amuses her. She understands that reacting would only amplify the chatter. Her focus, she insists, remains firmly on her work.
As the conversation concluded, one sentiment lingered: her truest relationship is with the camera. In an industry obsessed with whispers and wedding bells, the lens remains her most constant companion - steady, demanding, and deeply fulfilling.
