The ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ famed actress got her first Bollywood breakthrough in ‘Gold’ opposite Akshya Kumar. When the name of Mouni was locked for the lead actress, rumours about superstar Salman Khan recommending the actress started making rounds.
However, producer Ritesh Sidhwani had then cleared the air and said that Mouni ‘bagged the role on the basis of her talent and not on anyone’s recommendation’.
