Mismatched Season 4 announced as final chapter: Dimple and Rishi’s love story heads towards its end

Netflix India has officially announced Mismatched Season 4, confirming that the upcoming instalment will be the much-anticipated final season. 

Since its debut, the series has won hearts for its relatable, youthful take on modern romance, driven by the much-loved chemistry between Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf. 

The announcement on February 3 has left fans both excited and emotional as the story prepares for its conclusion.

What to Expect From the Final Season

Mismatched Season 4 will focus on bringing closure to Dimple and Rishi’s long, chaotic, and deeply emotional journey. Picking up after a significant time jump from Season 3, the final chapter explores adulthood, personal growth, and how love evolves when life paths change.

After years of unresolved feelings and missed timing, the two are unexpectedly pulled back into each other’s lives. With Rishi now on a path that allows no easy turning back, the season confronts the central question the series has always circled—are they truly mismatched, or were they simply never given the right moment? This time, the narrative leans into maturity, showing how being “mismatched” extends beyond romance to careers, ambitions, and identity.

Looking Back at Season 3

Released in 2024,Mismatched Season 3 followed Dimple and Rishi as they navigated long-distance love and professional pressures in Hyderabad. The season revolved around the Betterverse virtual reality project and tackled heavier themes such as digital addiction, grief, and self-worth. Dimple’s struggle with her father’s death and Rishi’s insecurity despite career success added emotional depth, marking a tonal shift towards a more serious coming-of-age story.

Shooting, Cast and Creative Team

Filming for Season 4 has already begun, with Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf recently spotted shooting at Mumbai’s Marine Drive. Behind-the-scenes videos and photos have gone viral, further fuelling fan excitement.

The final season is directed by Divyang Thakkar and created by Gazal Dhaliwal, with Ronnie Screwvala producing. Alongside the leads, Vidya Malvade, Rannvijay Singha, Ahsaas Channa, Taaruk Raina, Muskkaan Jaferi, and Abhinav Sharma return in key roles. Mismatched Season 4 is expected to release in 2026, promising a heartfelt and definitive goodbye.
