Fans of the Mirzapur franchise finally have a big reason to celebrate. After months of anticipation, the makers of Mirzapur: The Film, have officially wrapped up shooting.
The much-awaited big-screen adaptation of the cult crime-thriller series was announced in 2024, and the completion of filming has now heightened excitement ahead of its theatrical release.
Makers Announce Shoot Wrap With Special Video
On Sunday, Excel Entertainment took to Instagram to announce the wrap-up of Mirzapur: The Film. The production house shared a short video featuring a clapperboard, confirming that filming had concluded. The caption simply read, “It’s a wrap! #MirzapurTheFilm,” sending fans into a frenzy.
The film is created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh. It is presented by Amazon, MGM Studios, and Excel Entertainment, and serves as a cinematic adaptation of the hugely popular OTT crime drama that first premiered on Prime Video.
Shweta Tripathi Shares BTS Moments From Final Day
Adding to the excitement, Shweta Tripathi shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the final day of shooting. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the actress posted a picture of the clapperboard along with a group photo featuring the cast and crew posing together.
“It’s a wrap. Mirzapur – The Film,” she wrote, capturing the celebratory mood on set as the team marked the end of the shoot. The BTS images quickly went viral among fans, who have been eagerly awaiting updates on the film.

Star Cast, Release Plans and What to Expect
Mirzapur: The Film will bring back most of the original cast from the series, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu, Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya, Abhishek Banerjee as Compounder, and Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi.
While Vikrant Massey will not return, Jitendra Kumar has joined the cast in a key role. The film also stars Ravi Kishan, Mohit Malik, and Sonal Chauhan. Slated for a 2026 theatrical release across India, the film promises new story arcs while staying true to Mirzapur’s brutal, power-hungry world.
