Mumbai: Mother of 'Raazi' actress Alia Bhatt, Soni Razdan, has recently shared her #MeToo story. The actress, who had earlier appealed that people 'should not judge women for not sharing their stories', said someone once tried to rape her.

Talking about her past encounter in an interview, Razdan said that she never faced any type of harassment at work place in her career but once, during a film shoot, 'somebody tried to rape' her but he did not succeed.

However, Razdan didn't reveal the name of that 'somebody'. The actress said that she didn't want the family of that person to suffer the brunt of his actions, ETimes reported.

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has recently supported #MeToo movement by saying that gender dialogue is long overdue not just in a film industry but in the society as well.

She said, “It’s very important to remember that the gender dialogue is a conversation that’s a long overdue and let’s not limit it to our film industry. It’s a dialogue which has been long overdue in our society as well. Unfortunately, the sad truth is sexual predators are all around us.”
