“Manmadhudu 2” slated to release on August 9, stars Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet in the lead and is a sequel to “Shiva” actor’s “Manmadhudu” released in 2002. However, the sequel has no similarity with the earlier movie. Music is by Chaithan Bharadwaj and dialogues have been written by Kittu Vissapragada.
If you are a movie buff who loves typical rom-com, then this is your kind of movie. But there are many more reasons to watch this sophomore film.
Reasons To Watch “Manmadhudu 2”
Rahul Ravindran debuted with “Chi La Sow” around a year back as a director which was widely appreciated by the critics. For this Nagarjuna starrer, the expectations are already quite high as the actor turned director Ravindran has already nailed it with his first release. Also, the trailer looks quite promising.
Both Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet Singh are one of the finest actors in the Telugu film industry and the story is also quite different from the first movie. That gives you a good reason to go to the theater and enjoy this flick.
Another highlight is the cameo appearances by Samantha and Keerthy Suresh. The pictures of both these actors from behind-the-cameras have already been released by the filmmakers. Although there is no word about the role of Samantha in the film, Keerthy Suresh is rumored to be playing the role of the ex-girlfriend of Nagarjuna.
The story is an official remake of “I Do,” a French film that has a playboy being pressurized by his sisters and mother to marry. He hires a woman to act as his fiancé and who will ditch him on the aisle. But it seems the whole plan goes the other way round.
