Mahhi Vij slams trolls over Nadim Nadz link-up rumours as Arpita Khan steps in to defend her

Television actress Mahhi Vij recently announced her separation from her husband, Jay Bhanushali, after 16 years of marriage. The couple asserted that the decision was mutual and that they would co-parent their children, but soon Mahhi became the talk of the town through online speculations.

Rumours linking to her dear friend Nadim Nadz were rumoured to be grounded when she shared with him on his birthday, with a very touching note posted on social media.

Mahhi Vij Replies to Cyber Bullies 

On Sunday, Mahhi took to Instagram and released a video where she slammed the trolls who created the dating rumours. She said that the people who know her personally consider the gossip “ridiculous” and also added that just because she and Jay took a very civil, non-controversial divorce, some people could not accept it. Mahhi went as far as to call the trolls “dirt hunters” who are lowering themselves to the most unkind levels when she is going through a tough time in life and is looking for support.

‘Nadim Is My Best Friend,’ Mahhi Declares 

By declaring her relationship with Nadim, Mahhi solidly stated that he is her best friend and has always been a part of her family. She mentioned that her daughter Tara has been calling Nadim “Abba” for the past six years and this was a decision made by her and Jay together. Condemning the trolls, Mahhi stated the word “Abba” had been made to sound dirty and disgusting, further saying that Nadim was not only her best friend but also a person who was widely respected by many.

Friends From the Industry Step In

Among the backlash, several celebrities stepped in to show their support for Mahhi. Actress Ankita Lokhande defended Mahhi, Jay and Nadim publicly by calling Nadim the father of Tara and denouncing the negativity around a "pure relationship". 

Salman Khan's sister, Arpita Khan, was also among those who spoke out against the prevailing online judgment and the toxic nature of people questioning the state of society if even the likes of Nadim could get attacked.

About Mahhi and Jay’s Family 

Mahhi and Jay's marriage took place in 2010, and afterwards, they made Rajveer and Khushi their foster children. In 2019, their daughter was born through IVF, and they named her Tara. At the beginning of this month, the pair made their separation public through a joint announcement in which they promised their fans they would continue raising their kids together and with proper respect towards each other. 

Mahhi has made it very clear that she will not put up with any unfounded gossip or attacks directed at her close relationships and she has also reminded the trolls that karma will eventually reach them.
