Amid reports of a possible delay, Vicky Kaushal has confirmed that the shooting of Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is very much underway. 

The actor shared that the team is actively filming and enjoying the creative process, putting to rest speculation about a production halt.

“A Bhansali Film Is on Every Actor’s Bucket List”

Speaking to Just Too Filmy, Vicky Kaushal expressed his admiration for Bhansali’s cinematic vision. Calling him a “unique voice from India,” the actor said working with the celebrated filmmaker is a dream come true. He added that Bhansali is a true master of the craft and that being part of his film within a decade of his career feels like a blessing.

Vicky also spoke warmly about sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, saying the trio is having a great time filming and that audiences will see the film next year.

Alia Bhatt on the Film’s Energy

Earlier, Alia Bhatt described Love & War as a very special project, revealing that despite shooting throughout the year, it never feels like enough. She said the energy on set is infectious, often making the team want “one more day, one more moment” to explore the story further.

Delay Reports and Release Timeline

Recent reports suggested that Love & War may miss its Eid 2026 release to avoid a box-office clash with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. Sources claim the film is behind schedule, with around 75 days of shooting still remaining. The cast has reportedly blocked bulk dates until summer 2026, pushing the release to the second half of the year.
However, the makers have not officially confirmed a delay or announced a new release date yet.
