The audience can watch the festive release from their couch this time as all the movies will be witnessing an OTT release. The theatres will be missing out on the hustle-bustle of the crowd this festive season owing to the pandemic. Let us take a look at movies that are going to drop on this Diwali week.

Laxmii

Akshay Kumar’s Laxmii has been the center point of controversy since its title launch. The Kiara Advani starrer is a remake of the hit Tamil film Kanchana. The Khiladi Kumar will be seen in a never seen before avatar as he will be portraying the role of a transgender. The horror-comedy promises to be a joy ride with its trailer and will be premiering at 7:30 pm today on Disney + Hotstar app.

Ludo

The Multi-starrer Ludo is one of the most anticipated movies of the year which boasts of a stellar cast at work in the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkumar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur with Dangal girls Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh. The movie focuses on the different lives of the characters and how they are connected. Directed by the talented Anurag Basu, the movie will have his trademark style of humor, drama, romance, and suspense. The movie is going to be a viewer’s delight and will surely lighten up our boring Diwali. The movie will have a Netflix release on 12th November.

Chhalaang

Chhalaang starring Rajkumar Rao and Nushrat Barucha is a light hearted tale of a lazy PT Teacher who is challenged when a better PT teacher joins the school. He risks losing his job and his love to prove that he is a better teacher. He trains his students to defeat the other teacher’s students. Go for this movie if you want to watch a light-hearted comedy with relatable content. The film drops on 13th November at Amazon Prime.

Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari

The only movie releasing in theatres is Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, a comedy starring Diljit Dosanjh and Manoj Bajpayee in lead. While Manoj plays a detective who breaks marriages by exposing grooms, Diljit plays a bachelor who is determined to take revenge from him. The trailer is a laughter riot and shows Manoj in different shades. If you want to watch an offbeat comedy with a fresh story and miss the theatres, you can see SPMB on November 13 at your nearest theatres.
