Kiara Advani has finally fulfilled her dream of becoming a famous actress. Although she had a bit of filmy background with Juhi Chawla and Saeed Jaffrey being her distant relatives, the journey to stardom was not easy for her. Even now she is quite far from the superstardom that Deepika Padukone or Kareena Kapoor Khan enjoys in B-town. But Kiara has at least made an impact with “Kabir Singh” and can look forward to getting good projects.

Kiara Remembers Those Times When Karan Johar Helped Her

Most of her fans think that Kiara debuted through “MS Dhoni: An Untold Story” in Bollywood. But that is not the truth. The actress entered the Hindi film industry with “Fugly” in 2014 which was a major flop. She was expecting good offers post its release but instead was workless for a long time. During this period it was Karan Johar who gave her plummeting career a new hope by offering “Lust Stories,” a web series on Netflix produced by Dharma Productions.

Talking about her days when she was workless, Kiara says, “I remember after Fugly I went into a complete shell. I thought getting your first film was hard enough, that afterwards, your phone would ring off the hook with offers...until I realized it wasn’t going to be like that.” Spilling beans on how Karan Johar’s divine intervention helped her, the “Indoo Ki Jawani” actress said, “To have someone who believes in you and your talent is deeply motivating. I know people blame him for nepotism in the industry, but to those of us on the periphery, he’s given such wonderful opportunities.”

Currently, Kiara whose real name is Alia Advani is busy promoting her upcoming flick “Good Newwz” in which she stars along with Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. She will also be seen next in “Laxmmi Bomb” once again with Khiladi Kumar.
