Ramachandra Raju, who made his debut as the antagonist of KGF Chapter 1, Garuda Ram, has become a house-hold name with his powerful performance in the Yash-starrer flick which created a pan-India fan following for the characters of the film.

His portrayal of Garuda Ram has not only earned him praises but also helped him secure projects with some of the best directors of the South Film Industry. Raju, in one of his upcoming projects, will be seen sharing screen space with 'The Complete Actor' Mohanlal.

According to reports, Ramachandra Raju will be playing the lead antagonist in the Mohanlal starrer Aaraattu. The movie is being directed by B Unnikrishnan who recently took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture with Mohanlal alongside Raju.

"It was nice working with Ram, aka Garuda Ram in #aarattu," the director captioned his post. In the picture, Raju was seen in a long beard with his hair tied back up and he was wearing a check shirt.

Mohanlal will be essaying the character Neyyatinkara Gopan in Aarattu, who travels from Neyyattinkara to Palakkad on a mission, around whom the film revolves.

He will be seen using a black vintage Bens with the number plate 2255. While Shraddha Srinath will be playing an IAS officer in the film, actors Nedumudi Venu, Saikumar, Siddique, Ashwin Kumar, Rachana Narayanankutty, Johnny Antony, Vijayaraghavan, Nandu, Swasika, and Neha Saxena have roped in to play some supporting characters in the film.

Aaraattu is expected to hit the screens by Onam.
