KGF Chapter 2, a sequel to the 2018 blockbuster KGF, is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year. Ever since its announcement, KGF Chapter 2 has a lot of buzz surrounding it.

According to the latest buzz, the makers of the films have sold the Telugu rights of the film to the popular filmmaker Dil Raju for a whopping amount.

Earlier, it was speculated that Telugu production house Varahi Chalan Chitram, who had brought the rights of the first part of the franchise, would also purchase the rights of the second part.

However, after the great response to the teaser of the film, the producers had reportedly demanded Rs 70 crore for the Telugu rights following which Varahi Chalan Chitram opted out of the race.

As per Bollywood Life, Dil Raju has offered a bumper deal of Rs 65 crores and sealed the deal for the Telugu rights.

Reportedly, Varahi Chalan Chitram had purchased the rights of KGF Chapter 1 for around Rs 5 crore and earned a profit of more than double. Given the keenness of KGF 2, industry experts are calling it a jackpot for Tollywood makers.

Notably, earlier the makers of the Yash starrer have sold the Hindi rights of KGF 2 for around Rs 90 crore to Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment, which was much more than the amount they had paid for the first part of the franchise.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF 2 stars Rocking star Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. The multilingual film is slated to release on 16th July 2021.
