It seems Keerthy Suresh is basking in the success of ‘Mahanati’ and is going to be the next superstar of South film industry. She has already made her space among the biggies like Nayanthara, Samantha Akkineni and Anushka Shetty.

Following 'Mahanati', the actress has reportedly turned quite choosy in selection of movies and has started prioritising quality over commercial success.

Although her previous movies like Sandakozhi 2, Saamy Square and Sarkar didn’t give scope to display her acting prowess, the actress surely changed the game with 'Mahanati'.

“Mahanati has changed a lot of things in my life. I’ve listened to more than fifteen scripts until now but yet to take a final call, mainly due to the expectations created by Mahanati. Henceforth, I will act in commercial films which provide good scope to perform”, said the actress in an interview with Firstpost.

However, the actress kept her mum and did not give much details of her next film.

“This is the first film I signed after Mahanati. Every woman will be able to connect with the story of the film,” she told Firstpost.

The Mahanati protagonist will also make her debut in Bollywood alongside Ajay Devgan.

Keerthy is also rumoured to be playing the female protagonist in director Priyadarshan’s movie, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. The magnum opus film also has Sunil Shetty, Mohanlal, Sudheep, and Manju Warrier as pivotal characters.

Last but not the least; Keerthy will be working with Bollywood director Nagesh Kukunoor for his movie ‘Hyderabad Blues’ in 2020. The film will be made in three languages and produced by Reliance Entertainment.
