Seven months after Sushant Singh Rajput’s unfortunate demise, fans are celebrating the late Bollywood actor’s first birth anniversary, albeit with a heavy heart and teary eyes. The actor, who was born on January 21, 1986, would have turned 35 today.

‘One day for SSR birthday’ was trending on Twitter for the past few days, thanks to Sushant Singh Rajput’s ever-growing fan base, who swamped the social media with the actor’s old pictures, memes, GIFs and famous dialogues as they recalled his acting, professional ethics and human values. It’s as if his fans have embodied the true spirit of the actor’s popular film song, “Kaun Tujhe Yun Pyar Karega?” meaning “who else would love you so much?”

What sets Sushant Singh Rajput apart from most other Bollywood stars was his humble and helpful nature. Despite being an outsider who made it to the top in Bollywood with his outstanding performance in some highly successful movies, such as ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’, and ‘Kedarnath’, Sushant had his feet on the ground. Fans also love him for the fact that he would never rest on his laurels.

“A meaningful life is all about being real, being kind, being humble and being able to touch the lives of others in a good vibes. You had a meaningful life Sushant,” wrote one of Sushant’s fans on Twitter.

The 34-year-old actor was found dead at his Bandra apartment in Mumbai on June 14, last year. Three investigative agencies namely, Enforcement Directorate (ED), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are currently investigating the actor’s alleged suicide case.

Last week, Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti had sought suggestions from fans on how they should celebrate the actor’s first birth anniversary.

“I would love to see more people performing on his songs and posting it on social media. Let's celebrate his life and help spread love and joy. #SushantBirthdayCelebration," she tweeted last week.

Many fans of Sushant in India and abroad may not know that the actor went to Washington D.C.-headquartered National Aeronautics and Space Administration aka NASA to prepare for his astronaut role. That visit was a part of his preparation for the role in the film ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’.

Unfortunately, reverse timing is just a hypothesis today than a scientific reality. Thus, Sushant’s fans and we can only pray peaceful dimension for his soul.
