‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay”: Aamna Sharif To Dare What Gauhar Khan Was Scared Of

“Kasautii Zindagaii Kay” with Erica Fernandes, Parth Samthaan in the lead has succeeded in attracting the audience. The serial by Balaji Telefilms is a remake of the production house’s original serial by the same name.

The show took off greatly with Hina Khan making a remarkable impact as Komolika earlier played by Urvashi Dholakia. But due to better options from films, the Akshara of “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” decided to opt-out of the show. This created quite a problem for “Kasautii Zindagii Kay” as Komolika is a very important part of the story.

Aamna Sharif Returns To Small Screen

According to reports, Aamna Sharif has finally been signed for this role which was played with great aplomb by Hina Khan. And that was one reason why many actresses were not ready to take up as the new Komolika. Hina is a highly talented actress who has always left a mark in whichever venture she became a part of.

Starting with “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,” the actress became so famous that every mother-in-law wanted a bahu like Akshara. After portraying the role for long years, Hina decided to break away from being the stereotype traditional bahu and left the show. Immediately she received offers from “Khatron Ke Khiladi” and “Big Boss” reality shows. Although she lost in the finals, Hina was the highest-paid celebrity on both these shows.

So when it was time for Ekta Kapoor and team to find a replacement for Komolika, they had to be very careful. As per reports, Gauhar Khan was the first choice for the role but somehow things did not work out. Gauhar cited work commitments to avoid doing Komolika however, inner sources have said that she was scared of doing the role as Hina Khan has left a very big impact and the audience might not accept her with an equal response.

However, Aamna Sharif has finally said yes and the team is now hoping that they have taken the best decision by offering her Komolika.
