Fans were pretty upset when Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan decided to go separate ways. Of course they never officially announced their affair. But their nearness and regular outings together hinted towards it. More importantly, when both Sara and Kartik went all out requesting the paparazzi not to shoot them together things became quite clear. The estranged couple said that they instead want the media to talk more about their movies and work rather than their affair.

Many believed that the mother of Sara was the reason behind this split as she did not want her daughter to be in a relationship so early in her career and rather wants her to focus more on work as of now. However, some rumours said Kartik’s closeness towards Ananya Panday, his “Pati Patni Aur Woh” co-star was the reason for their breakup.

After the rumoured couple decided to take a break from their relationship, they avoided being seen together in the public. Thinking that it was not possible to see them sharing the same space fans had even started earnestly waiting for Sara and Kartik’s movie “Aaj Kal 2.” But the stars surprised everyone when they shared the same stage during the recently held Star Screen Awards 2019.

More than just sharing the stage, the two also danced on the hit “Simmba” song “Aankh Mare.” Apart from Sara and Kartik, “Kabir Singh” star Shahid Kapoor too shared the stage and the two actors copied the steps as Sara danced to the number. Before that, when Sara was called on the stage and made to do a ramp walk, she just did so quite gracefully with Kartik following her at every step.
