Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has finally arrived in cinemas. The film reportedly opened to encouraging footfalls with a strong morning occupancy on day one. However, alongside the box-office buzz, the lead pair has once again found itself at the centre of online criticism.

After being earlier trolled for allegedly ‘ruining’ the nostalgic charm of Saat Samundar Paar, Kartik and Ananya are now facing similar reactions for recreating Salman Khan and Kajol’s much-loved song Saajanji Ghar Aaye from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
Viral Clip Sparks Online Discontent
Following the Christmas release on December 25, multiple clips from the film began circulating on social media. One particular video shows Kartik making a grand entry at a function to Saajanji Ghar Aaye, with Ananya later joining him on the dance floor. While the sequence aimed to tap into nostalgia, netizens were far from pleased.
The original track, picturised on Salman Khan and Kajol, holds a special place for many Bollywood fans. Comparisons were inevitable- and they followed swiftly.
Comparisons With the Original Don’t Go Down Well
Soon, side-by-side videos comparing Kartik’s version with Salman Khan’s original performance started trending online. Social media users weighed in heavily, with many feeling that the recreation failed to capture the original’s magic and Salman’s signature charm.
