Ever since its release on June 21, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani-starrer Kabir Singh has constantly been a hot topic of discussion. The Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster 'Arjun Reddy', as a love story was liked by millions, but at the same time it was slammed by many, especially the women, for celebrating 'toxic masculinity'. But the box office collection kept ringing.

Recently during an interview with a magazine, Kareena Kapoor Khan shared her views on Kabir Singh and said that she doesn't 'personally believe in a character' played by Kiara Advani in the movie. While Kabir Singh plays an aggressive character, Preeti (Kiara Advani's character), is quite submissive.

Talking about the movie, Kareena said "I haven’t seen the film but clearly it hasn’t affected anything because the movie has made over Rs 300 crores."

She also called the movie a 'do dhaari talwaar'. "It’s a double-edged sword. Because there are people who are actually going to watch it and have found something that they love. Otherwise, it is not possible for it to have done so well. But I’m happy that people are talking about it and if you ask me, I don’t personally believe in a character like that because that’s not me as a person."

"I am happy that people are talking about things and they want their voices to be heard. But they clearly are outnumbered by the people who have loved the film. That’s the reality, which is sad. But, at the end of the day, it’s a film and it has worked," the actress added.

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor has bagged the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit 'Jersey'. The Hindi version will be directed by Gowtham Tinnanauri, who also helmed the original movie.

Kareena will next be seen in Good Newwz co-starring Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh. The movie is slated to release this December.
