Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan are ready to become parents again. Recently Kareena opened up about being a mother for the second time and how she wants to name her second child. She also shared how Taimur’s name controversy played a part in this decision.

During the latest episode of What Women want, soon-to-be-mom who is the host of the radio show spilled some beans while talking to Neha Dhupia. She said, “After the whole controversy of Taimur, both Saif and I have not even thought about it. We’re like going to leave it last minute and then spring a surprise.”

To this Neha suggested in a fun way that she should hold a poll to decide the name. The K3G actor replied, “I’m gonna tackle this right at the end."

For the uninitiated, when the couple’s firstborn was named Taimur in 2016, a controversy was triggered and over the name. Netizens slammed Saif as many believed that they should have not named their child after a Turkish ruler who invaded India called Timur.

Later, Saif had opened up about the controversy and said that after the backlash he did consider changing Tim’s name. He added that he might even change the name If his son faces any problem later in school.

Kareena Kapoor had revealed that Saif wanted to name their son Faiz but she insisted on the name Taimur. “Of course, there was trolling but at the same time, there was an immense support from the people we were getting, not that trolls matter to us that much but it was our choice. The day before I was going to the hospital for delivery, I had a talk with Saif and he was suggesting to keep his name Faiz, he said, ‘Bebo, that is a more poetic, more romantic name’. I said ‘no, Taimur means iron and if I give birth to a son, my son is going to be a fighter, I will produce an iron man’. And yes, I proudly did so,” she said in an interview in 2018.
