Karan Johar has finally voiced out his feelings over the drug party accusations that allegedly were said to have been organized at his home. It was the director himself who shot the entire video and posted it on social media. Understandably, if as per the allegations the actors were stoned after a dose of the drug, the owner of Dharma Productions would certainly have refrained from shooting them and posting the video on the internet.

Even then, the house party stirred quite a storm making big stars in Bollywood including Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Deepika Padukone and more look like a culprit. Finally, the director of “Eh Dil Hai Muskhil” has expressed his opinion saying that the entire accusations are baseless.

Members Were Having Easy Time, Says Karan

During a recent interview with Rajeev Masand, a famous film critic, the filmmaker who until now had maintained a stoic silence over the entire issue said about the get-together, "There were achieving members of the industry who were having an easy night out after a hard week of work, having a good time. I took that video with all the earnestness... would I be putting out that video if anything was happening at all, I am not stupid."

In his outburst, the disgusted director lambasted the netizens who accused the stars of taking drugs. Karan said, “Apparently you are not allowed to scratch your nose. Apparently, you are not allowed to put your phone in your back pocket. Apparently, a shadow of light is perceived to be some kind of powder."

On the question why he did not react to the allegations earlier, Karan stated that he does not react very well to baseless accusations. The filmmaker even said that his mother Hiroo Johar was just 10 meters away from the place and was present there a few minutes before he took the video. According to Karan Johar, it was a happy, family-type social gathering pepped with some good music, good food, and good conversation.
