Karan Johar Ropes In Shah Rukh Khan For ‘Brahmastra’ To Boost Badshah’s Ailing Career?

“Brahmastra” is a highly anticipated movie that will be released in the summer of 2020. One of the exciting things about this Ayan Mukerji directed movie is that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will share the screen space for the first time. Importantly, they are very much in love and currently a hot couple which is making fans eager to check out their onscreen chemistry. Produced by Dharma Productions, it will be a first big release of Ranbir after the blockbuster “Sanju.”

Now, there is a surprising twist to the star cast of “Brahmastra.” According to recent reports, Karan Johar is roping in Shah Rukh Khan to do a crucial role in the movie. Although it will be a cameo, the character of the “Zero” actor will be an important one.

Karan Johar Wants To Lift Shah Rukh’s Career?

Shah Rukh Khan is very dear to Karan Johar and hence most of his movies have seen the “Badshah” either in the lead or at least doing some special appearance similar to the one in “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.” Until a couple of years ago, Shah Rukh was a name to reckon with at the box-office. But with most of his recent movies from “Fan,” “Raes,” “Harry Meets Sejal,” to the very recent “Zero” flopping disastrously the aging superstar is now hunting for a venture that can reinstate him once again at the top.

At the start of his career as a director, it was Shah Rukh Khan who helped Karan Johar by accepting the lead role in “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.” The duo has given many major hits from “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam” to “My Name Is Khan.” So now it seems the “Bombay Velvet” actor wants to return the same favor by offering the superstar a crucial role in his next film.

Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan worked together earlier for “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” whereas Shah Rukh Khan has a movie “Dear Zindagi” with Alia Bhatt released some time ago.
