Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover are the leading standup comedians in India who gained enormous fame and name through their television shows. While it was always Kapil who led the team of telly comedians Sunil Grover still managed to establish his identity among all.

After their infamous fallout, neither Kapil Sharma nor Sunil has shared the screen and it does not seem likely that they will do so in the coming few years. But they are constantly compared with each other since both of them gained fame on the same platform.

Kapil Sharma's Next Netflix Serial Coming Soon; Comparison With Sunil Grover's Role in Tandav Most Likely

When Kapil became a big name he was offered movies. But both the movies that he did fail to work at the box-office and proved one thing that though he is loved as a comedian on television, the audience is not yet ready to accept him as the lead hero in a movie.

So he returned to the television with The Kapil Sharma Show which is having a good run on Sony Television with the exception of the rough patch caused during the corona lockdown.

On the other hand, Sunil Grover did try to return to television with other comedy shows like Kanpur Wale Khurannas and Gangs of Filmistaan but failed to make an impact. Sunil also started taking movie projects but played it safe by sticking to side roles or character roles in big movies. He was praised for his small role in Salman Khan's Bharat.

Tandav, a web series released earlier this month had Sunil playing a key character of a kingmaker. While this Abbas Ali Jafar series starring Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia in the lead has been caught in controversy, Sunil did manage to earn a lot of appreciation for his character of Gurpal Singh.

Now Kapil Sharma is making his OTT debut with a Netflix web series. He has a big challenge ahead of him as his earlier stint as an actor did not go down well. So, while Sunil Grover could not succeed as a comedian on television post his fallout with Kapil Sharma he is slowly making his name as an actor.

Now it needs to be seen whether Kapil succeeds on OTT or not.
