Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar were declared Padma Shri for this year on Republic Day. Naturally good wishes, blessings, and congratulations from friends, colleagues as well as fans started pouring in. As is known Karan helms one of the biggest production houses of the Indian film industry-Dharma Productions. The legacy was handed to him by his father Yash Johar who has produced some classics like “Agneepath,” “Duplicate,” and “Gumrah.”

In that sense, Karan Johar is also a product of nepotism. Kangana who has always spoken against nepotism openly for a change has congratulated Karan and credited him for the success he has achieved. The “Queen” actress said, “I heartily congratulate him. I think he deserves this award. As a producer, the kind of films he backs, whether it is Kesari or Good Newwz, are commendable, as is the position he has worked to achieve. Even though his father gave him a head start, he has risen to the top because of his efforts and merits."

Kangana’s Statement Is Unexpected

Kangana Ranaut who has not been on good terms with Karan for the last few years and also dared to cross the “Ghost Stories” director on his “Koffee With Karan” show has suddenly taken an unexpected turn. It has also shocked many in the film industry as the actress is known to have a very strong opinion about star kids and Karan has been the leading producer supporting and launching star kids like Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday, Varun Dhawan, and more.

Undoubtedly, Kangana is a self-made actress with three National Awards to her name and single-handedly achieved immense success. Her recently released “Panga” is receiving good reviews and slowly picking up at the box-office. However, to enter the A-listed circle of B-town, she needs someone like Karan Johar at her back. Many believe that is the main reason why Kangana has been generous at appreciating Karan.

Is the “Fashion” actress doing all this to get into the mainstream circle of Bollywood which until now has eluded her?
