Kabir Singh Box Office Collection Day 15: Movie Crosses Mind-Boggling Numbers!

Amidst strong reactions over portrayal of the protagonist in ‘Kabir Singh’, the movie continues to be on a roll in the 3^rd week at the box office. It has minted Rs 218.60 crore till now and is expected to cross Rs 225 crore by today.

Film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote:

#KabirSingh remains steady on [third] Fri... Should gather speed on [third] Sat and Sun... Will cross ₹ 225 cr today [Sat]... [Week 3] Fri 5.40 cr. Total: ₹ 218.60 cr. India biz.

As per reports, Kabir Singh, which is being screened in more than 2,000 halls across the country is expected to touch the Rs 250-crore mark soon. The movie earned Rs 134.78 crore in its first week and Rs 78 crore in the second. The Shahid Kapoor starrer flick has also surpassed the lifetime collection of Salman Khan's ‘Bharat’ and became the second highest grosser of 2019.

On July 4, Shahid, who has spent 16 years in the industry, thanked his fans for their love, with an Instagram post in which he broke down the character.

He wrote: "Your love is so overwhelming, words will always fall short. Thank you for understanding him forgiving him and loving him with all your heart. We all fall apart. And we all must strive to rise from our faults. To be better...To be wiser and to be kinder.

And with his latest film "Kabir Singh", the actor is surprised to see how his most flawed character on-screen has become his most loved.

The role he plays in the movie has been condemned by a section of the audience and critics who have tagged it misogynistic and one which perpetuates toxic masculinity. But the film, a remake of the Telugu blockbuster "Arjun Reddy", has still crossed Rs 200 crore-mark.
