Janhvi Kapoor rejects fan’s 'ship name' for her and Shikhar Pahariya!

Actress Janhvi Kapoor is in promotions of her recently released romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Varun Dhawan. While promoting her film, the Devara actress found herself in a rather unexpected situation. During a recent chat, the focus shifted from her film to her personal life - specifically, her rumoured relationship with Shikhar Pahariya - when a fan decided to get creative with a “ship” name for the duo.

'Jassi'? Janhvi Says, 'How Janwar!'

During the recent chat with with Pinkvilla, the lighthearted exchange began with a fan asking Janhvi Kapoor about her future plans. Laughing off the question, she replied, “Main abhi mere life mein bohot khush hoon. Multiplication ka abhi koi time nahi hai mere paas, na jinko aap refer kar rahe hai, na unke paas.” 

Not giving up, the fan teased further, “Naam lene mein kya dikkat hai? Ulajh hai usme?” Janhvi wittily replied, “Headline ban jata hai na phir.” Then came the twist - the fan suggested a couple name: “Jassi.”

Janhvi immediately reacted, “Jassi?” and repeated in a puzzled way. When told it stood for “Janhvi and Shikhar,” she burst out laughing, exclaiming, “Oh no, I don’t like that. How Janwar?”

Quickly regretting the suggestion, she added playfully, “No but, arey yaar, main bohot aisi ho jaati hoon jab aise sawal unke baare mein puche jaate hai toh main nahi answer kar rahi.”

Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya’s rumoured romance has been the talk of Bollywood circles for months. The actress seemingly confirmed their bond when she sported a necklace with his nickname “Shiku” at the Maidaan screening.

Fans also caught her mentioning “Shiku” on Koffee With Karan, albeit accidentally. However, Janhvi has firmly dismissed any talk of marriage, calling such rumours “stupid,” and clarified that her priority remains her career.
