Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most famous Bollywood superstars of Indian cinema. He has given some very big hits including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and more which even today are considered romantic classics. But the last few years have not been so smooth for the Badshah of B-town.
His last few movies starting from Ra One have been flops and some even super flops. From Raees, Jab Harry met Sejal to Fan, and with his last movie Zero, Shah Rukh Khan failed to attract success at the box-office.

Will Deepika Padukone's Stardom Help Shah Rukh Khan's Career Get a New Life?
Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar continued to garner moolah and are reigning the roost although some younger stars like Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor are now inching closer to the top spot. That made SRK sit back and think a bit about his next career move. After Zero (2018) flopped Shah Rukh Khan decided to wait before signing a new project.
A few months ago King Khan decided to make his comeback with Pathan, a YRF action-thriller which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He has already started shooting for this flick.

While SRK has not delivered a single hit in the last few years, Deepika is currently the reigning queen of Bollywood. Although her last release Chhapaak flopped badly, all her previous movies including Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani were a big hit. Shah Rukh Khan has delivered big hits under YRF banners. But Deepika does not have a good record with YRF having done only 2 movies in the past which did not do well.

Even then the combination of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone has always worked wonders and is a big hit. Be it Om Shant Om, Chennai Express, or Happy New Year, the chemistry they share on the screen has always driven audiences to the theaters.

Siddharth Anand's Midas Touch May Also Work This Time For SRK
Another plus point is that Siddharth Anand who delivered a big hit like War for YRF is helming SRK's Pathan. He has previously delivered big hits like Bang Bang, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Bachna Ae Haseeno. So Anand's Midas touch is also expected to help tide over the things for Shah Rukh.
Dimple Kapadia whose work in Christophers Nolan's Tenet recently was appreciated is working as a RAW agent in this film.

John Abraham who will play an antagonist in Pathan has a good following when it comes to action movies. So the overall combination of big banner, director, and the heroine is expected to work well for Shah Rukh Khan this time.
