Vishal Dadlani Was Awestruck By Indian Idol 12 Top 15's Nachiket Lele

Nachiket Lele who turned to music after completing his engineering surprised the judges with his versatility. In the first round, he impressed the judges singing Madan Mohan's classic 'Tum Jo Mil Gaye Ho' by Rafi. And then in the theater round, he sang a completely different type of song-Phool gendawa an maro originally sung by Manna Dey.

Although the judges were impressed by this singing, they still did not give him the Golden Mike. Instead, when Nachiket revealed that he has been regularly doing Marathi theater acting and singing at the same time, they asked him to come on stage in that avatar.

After a brief period when Nachiket did come on the stage in navvari (a type of Maharashtrian saree), the judges were stunned. Furthermore, when he sang the pada of Bal Gandharva from a Marathi drama and recreated the magic of the music maestro, Vishal Dadlani was awestruck. The music composer just kept on clapping as he handed over the golden mike to him.

Almost all the performers sang beautifully to ensure their place in Indian Idol 12 Top 15. But Anjali Gaikwad and Sawai Bhatt need a special mention.

Both of them were an absolute delight and impressed the judges with their classical renditions.
