He presented the famous Ek Chatur Naar song from Padoson originally sung by Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey. Dressed in typical South Indian get-up matching the style of Mehmood, Nachiket not only sung exceptionally well but his expressions were also on point.

Shanmukha Priya is already a well-known name on television having participated in a music reality show earlier. She rocked the Indian Idol 12 stage with her electrifying rendition of A.R. Rehman's 'Ek Ho Gaye Hum Or Tum' from the movie Bombay. Neha Kakkar was so impressed that she said that Shanmukha should start singing for Broadway and is international ready.

Even Himesh Reshammiya was very much impressed and called Shanmukha the 8th wonder of the music world for her amazing yodling.

Other contestants who performed before the judges yesterday in the Grand Premiere include Vaishnav Girish, Nihal, and Saahil.

Musicians Naveenji Kumar, Steven Dissani Left Everyone Spellbound

During the premiere round the contestants were accompanied by some of the great musicians from India. While Naveenji Kumar on tabla left everyone impressed it was Steven Dissani with his fingers on the piano that really created magic.  Be it Vaishnav Girish's Saathiya or Shanmukha Priya's Humma song, Steven's expertise was unparalleled.

The judges of Indian Idol 12 have decided to give Yuvraj Mendhe, the lad who worked as a sweeper on the Indian Idol sets one more chance. The judges asked him to train under the trainers who also train selected Indian Idol contestants.
